As Facility Manager I was responsible for dealing with Energy Suppliers, Successfully saving thousands of €uro on annual energy bills with internal cost saving initiatives. Supporting the business needs on a 24/7 call-out. I have worked closely with all Facility support Services setting up / reviewing yearly SLAs, PRS, Chubb, G4S, Aqua Chem, Bord Gais, ESBIE, SAP landscape and Mercury Engineering etc.Process EngineerMost recently worked on the Dutch Company ASML Account. Here I was tasked with the role to reverse Engineer their new product into our manufacturing assemble and test process. Develop assemble instructions, drawings, and quality points and then instruct and train assemble op's. Later re-train & transfer product to Benchmark Holland when closure was announced.I was also working on the development of a System Tester with capabilities of testing High Voltage HV, High Current and connectivity on the product.Our high volume EMC account I had to liaise on a daily basis with customer Engineers from their Cork facility, review changes on current and future products, Develop Lean manufacturing techniques to reduce our manufacturing space, headcount and lead time without impacting customer Quality and delivery. Attend QBR on a regular basis. Won achievement award for contributions to process cost reduction.My initial role with BEI was Supervisor with responsibilities for Assembly, Test and delivery of Fault tolerant systems to Lucent’s customers base. Attend weekly meetings with customer Engineers. Other responsibilities included, Daily Production meetings with Metric gathering against KPI’s. Dept Budgets, Yearly Appraisals and maintaining System Stock accuracies were a few of the many activities I was responsible for. In 2005 I worked on the introduction of the Sun Microsystems Assemble and Test Process, Leading teams of 20 Assemblers, 10 Test Technicians producing over 100 servers/shift to a revenue over 100 million USD / quarter.

Having spent 6 weeks training in Boston I return to the Dublin facility to setup the production test area, Environmental Hot and Cold testing followed by full integration to customer and country requirements. As Group Leader and later Supervisor I was responsibility for the training and development and yearly appraisal of Technicians within my group. I was involved with several Installations of Systems in both the UK and Ireland.In 1998, Stratus was taken over by Lucent Technologies, who in turn transferred all manufacturing responsibilities and personnel to Benchmark Electronics, Ireland. Where I worked until the company closed in 2011.
