Director Of Operations
Established role following the restructuring of the Tamdown Group; inclusive of leadership provisions for construction activity within the region. The role offers guidance and direction to a team of Contracts Managers, and being the principal senior-level contact for operational matters in the area.The role is partnered with a Director of Commercial (East) to form a Regional Leadership Team (RLT), whose combined responsibilities are to ensure regional performance targets are met, inclusive of those related to HSQE, commercial performance, project delivery, business development/work winning, and workforce management.RESPONSIBILITIES:- Responsible and accountable as RLT member for the operational delivery of construction activities across the allocate region by achieving key business measures- Ensuring regional construction teams are adhering to the correct policies and procedures outlined by Tamdown HSQE department- Provision of premium levels of specialist customer service and care to internal and external stakeholders- Focus on skills-improvement and developmental opportunities by being client-focused, with a view to develop ethical business relationship foundations with key clients- Co-development with pre-construction team; assisting with winning new contracts. Inclusive of pre-planning, working with estimating department and provision of feedback from similar schemes- Responsible for all RLT due diligence; ensuring documentation and reporting is accurate, punctual and fit for purpose- Responsible for development and delivery of business plans, leading definitions on how objectives are to be achieved- Working with other RLT’s, offering assistance with any/all initiatives to improve operational performance- Active liaison with other RLT’s and departments, promoting knowledge and resources communication
