Hands Across the Water is an Australian charity founded in 2005 by Peter Baines OAM.I took on an internship with Hands Across the Water's to create the initial edition of their 'lead.' magazine. I worked independently to create layouts, graphics, and other magazine collateral. I met weekly with internal stakeholders to discuss and take on feedback, and alter designs to fit the brief.Responsibilities- Used a variety of Adobe CS software to create the layout and design for the first edition of the ‘lead.’ magazine- Sourced photography and typography for print and digital media- Performed well within time constraints and met design and print deadlines- Attended online meetings to review content, and incorporate feedback from contributors to improve the final product- Worked with internal and external stakeholders to create various marketing and design materialProvided pre press ready files for production of 500 magazine copiesAchievements- Independently developed and designed the branding and layout of Hands Across the Water’s first experiment into print media.- Managed my own workload within production deadlines, and allowed the delivery of 500 magazine copies to Hands Across the Water members around Australia
