About Eamon Morrissey

I am a Chartered Engineer, working for Jennings O'Donovan on structures constructed as part of wind farms, solar farms, and drainage schemes. I worked for Mott MacDonald from 1995 to 2022. Initially employed as a Technician I was promoted internally as I gained qualifications. I have worked on the design of structures on many infrastructure schemes, including Clonakilty Flood Relief Scheme, Enniscorthy Flood Relief Scheme, the N11 Arklow/Rathnew PPP road contract in Ireland as Designer, the N22 Ballyvourney to Macroom, N25 New Ross and N25 Waterford Bypass road contracts in Ireland in a Design Review role, the Bybannen Rådal - Flesland Phase 3 contract in Norway as Designer.In addition to the design of bridges, culverts and retaining walls I am very familiar with the NRA Design Manual for Roads and Bridges, Specification for Road Works, and PPP Contract Schedule requirements.I have been involved in the design of building structures for schools, colleges and hospitals, and have carried out site visits during construction to monitor the works and address construction issues when required.I have also acted as Resident Engineer on Clonakilty Flood Relief Scheme and on a civil works contract at Whitegate Oil Refinery, Ireland which was carried out while the refinery was in operation.

I joined Mott MacDonald as a Technician in 1995. I was promoted to Design Engineer when I attained Membership of Engineers Ireland on completion of my Engineering Council (UK) examinations in 2001.
