Worked as a Technician and Network Engineer with Cablevision/Cablesystems/Cablelink/NTL/UPC from 1977 - 2015.HFC designer and commissioner, including coordinating and supervising contract and construction crews.Operated a community TV service over the Cable network from 1989-2006.Implemented expansion of network/node segmentation from 2010-2015, which included WDM and DWDM construction and commissioning.Day to day responsibilities included Headend, Fibre sweeping, HFC transmission, mapping, preventive maintenance, QC, and last line solutions on a fully interactive triple-play HFC network.I have worked on all parts of the network from first line calls in 1977 to a triple play network Headend.Worked as part of a team charged with a full HFC upgrade to 1 Ghz, DocSis 3.1 compliant. This included supervision of contract upgrade crews, design alteration as required, and QC/commissioning/troubleshooting.
