To date I have 15 years’ experience as a fire engineer working on a wide variety of projects which include sub-surface railway station, RAF bases, retail developments, mixed use developments, high rise buildings and stadiums. The projects have taken me to many different countries and required the use of various Building Guidance documents such as BS, NFPA and SNIP. My main expertise rests in the production of fire strategies for various building types including buildings during construction phases and providing advice to client on a wide range of fire safety matters. I have in depth experience in determining solutions for various fire engineering problems and creating innovative alternative routes to compliance with the building regulations. I also have extensive experience in the carrying out fire risk assessments for various building types.During the course of my work, I manage projects from start to finish including production of fee proposals, providing initial expert advice on the building design, production of detailed fire strategies, liaising with the various building control bodies and the fire service and advising on fire safety matters throughout the construction of the buildings.I have used to date many computer programs which include AutoCAD, Simulex, FDS and FDS+Evac.
