I have worked in various industries including; Demolition/construction/relocation of buildings (commercial and residential), Retail in both sales and management roles, Managed an entertainment complex for night shifts, and I was the Treasurer and Founding member of the Swinburne Archers Club until I left Swinburne University at the end of 2022, I stepped down as President of the club at the end of 2020. I am currently working as a Job Coach with DES for Max Employment, and I am loving the work so far, being able to put my experiences into action and be able to help other people at the same time has always been a goal of mine.These roles have left me with various skills in relation to teamwork and how to effectively manage a small team. I have dealt directly with conflicts, both internal and external to my team. I lead my teams by example for the most part and as such gain the respect of my colleagues, but I also know when I need to delegate. I have had limited experience with project management through my studies for engineering, and working in the demolition industry. I have also done some basic drafting work on AUTOCAD, completing house floorplans and block layouts. Finally my work as a job coach has increased all of my skills when it comes to working with people by leaps and bounds. I have also been gaining new skills in the administration field and scheduling throughout my time as a job coach so far.I am partway through a PhD at Swinburne University, with my topic being based on HR practices and how they effect the engagement of People with Disabilities in the workplace. The PhD is on hold for the moment as I build my career.
