I am a Kinship Caseworker at Larimer County, where I have been supporting kinship families and children involved in dependency and neglect cases for over two years. I have a certification in Emergency Medical Technology and a bachelor's degree in Psychology, which enable me to assess and address the physical, mental, and emotional needs of my clients. I ensure that kinship families complete the required paperwork, access the available resources, and receive the appropriate training and guidance to provide safe, stable, and nurturing homes for the children in their care.Prior to joining Larimer County, I worked as a Program Manager for Working on Writing, a Colorado-based nonprofit organization that offers creative writing lessons to inmates in the Larimer County Jail. I designed and facilitated the lessons, trained and coordinated the volunteers, and supervised the student interns who received academic credits from the Colorado State University Department of Psychology. I am passionate about improving the mental health and wellbeing of vulnerable populations, and I have witnessed the positive impact that providing adequate resources has on self-expression, confidence, and coping skills. I am a motivated and compassionate professional who strives to make a positive difference in my community.
