As a operations specialist, I support Zurich's new business team. Within my role I assist in closing new business with Brokers, negotiating with broker queries and providing relevant information so customers can make an informed decision on our services. Due to the nature of our business, attention to detail plays an important role in the compliance with revenue regulation of Insurance companies. San Francisco Bay Area

For the summer after I finished my degree, I travelled on a J1 visa to the US. Despite being on a working holiday for the summer, I didn't let that impact my performance within the role. Within 2 months I was ranked the 13th best Sales Representative in the US/Canada, with a total of $45k revenue in my name selling golfing clubs. I also analysed customers swing and technique to best advise on a set of clubs that best suits their requirements.

On top of my 30 hours of college (UCD) I juggled working an addition 30 hours in Tesco, in Carlow, to pay for my accommodation and tuition. During my time here I progressed to a leadership position and became more aware of customer experience, hard work and the value of the money I earned.
