Highlights included: successful representation of Munich Re America in the Insurance Brokerage Antitrust MDL; successfully defending Omnicare in a Sherman Act class action (claims dismissed with prejudice); successfully defending Royal Dutch Shell Group against civil claims arising out of a European Commission cartel investigation; obtaining a favorable settlement of restraint of trade and monopolization claims for the nation’s leading anesthesiology provider; trial counsel for food distributor Feesers in a price discrimination lawsuit; obtaining favorable settlement for Russian mining company Uralkali in a multidistrict antitrust class action; successfully defending Panasonic Avionics Corp. against monopolization claims (summary judgment); successfully defending New York Racing Association’s rule for jockey representation before New York Court of Appeals; representing affiliates of Greek telecommunications company OTE in international arbitrations under ICC and LCIA rules; defending Geneva Pharmaceuticals (now Sandoz) in an FTC investigation and multidistrict litigation arising out of settlement of patent infringement claims; member of the victorious Novartis trial team in the landmark Brand Name Prescription Drugs Sherman Act class action.
