Earl Joseph is an award-winning journalist, editor and publisher with over 25 years of experience in editorial and publishing. Joseph began his career as a business and marketing journalist before moving into general lifestyle magazines as an editor and publisher. During this time he won a Mondi award for exposing corruption in the South African Broadcasting Corporation as well as Specialist Press Association Awards for best business and best marketing journalist. After co-founding Business Century Publishing which launched Maverick Magazine (now Daily Maverick) and Mojo Publishing who licensed YMag from YFM and Campus Times from the Mail & Guardian, Joseph ventured into mobile software as a resident entrepreneur and business development specialist at a software development company and went on to found his own tech startups. As a graduate of the AAA School of Advertising and Wits Business School’s Management Advancement Program, a South African Music Award (SAMA) nominee and a dedicated parent, Joseph believes in delivering results as a complete human being.
