Among these projects were: CPOE, Bar Code Med Admin, Opening a new facility, expanding the EMR footprint to a critical access hospital, major code upgrades, ePrescribe, Meaningful Use and many other smaller projects. As the Team Lead for Project Managemnet Services; I was responsible for developing the businesss line, the collarteral for marketing and interviewing all potential candidates.

Direct a staff of 100 information technology specialists across multiple areas to ensure that the IT infrastructure supports the hospital’s mission of providing outstanding care to its patients. Provide ongoing infrastructure analysis and strategic direction and positioning for continuous improvement. Develop implementation strategies and go-live plans. Manage vendor and stakeholder relationships. Lead project Steering Committees and implementations. Serve as liaison to the governing agency with ownership and full authority for the hospital.• Reduced medication errors by 30% and end user time by 1 hour/day with the introduction of a new enterprise-wide health informatics system (HIS).• Implemented billing and insurance processes that helped transform the hospital from a wholly government-subsidized organization to a revenue generator.• Successfully integrated an American HIS into an Arabic hospital.• Earned 3 separate invitations to speak at the Middle East Health Conference.
