It sure is hard to figure out a viable business model for a website that is devoted to quality writing about food. R.I.P.Did web administration, lightweight development, and anything else that required some technical chops. This included researching and implementing security improvements; replicating the site on other hosts; and digging out lost content directly from the database. The site was implemented in WordPress.

You might think me crazy to volunteer in East Africa in a hot oppressive climate with swarms of malaria-infested mosquitoes.I wore three hats at our school. As teacher, pioneered a course in Information and Computer Studies, guided by the national syllabus. As PC technician, salvaged usable systems from the motley collection of used, donated computers and set up the first student lab. As mentor, coached the use of office suite software, desktop publishing, et al. Taught computer skills and mathematics at this vocational high school in Micronesia. Cobbled together the first computer lab of the school from an assortment of old donated PC systems. Found out that in a hot tropical climate, mold can grow on anything, even the plastic surface of a floppy diskette.
