About Earl D. Geyer, Iii, Ph.D.

For me, the allure of physics stems largely from the relative simplicity and generality of its theories despite the richness and beauty of the phenomena they explain. Be it in multidisciplinary academic research, philosophy of science, or innovation in the tech industry, the physicists’ lens through which I view the world has kept it in sharp focus and enabled my broad contributions.Alas, not everyone shares my affection and reverence for the subject and way of thinking. Not so in my classroom. As an educator at Hopkins School, I share with my students the same gift of awe and understanding that the school gave me years ago. In addition to traditional secondary education, I drive the physics arm of a multidisciplinary research experience for our high school juniors. They have already demonstrated the propensity for valuable contributions to the academic literature through research both on our campus and through collaboration with various universities. I am always looking for exciting research opportunities in which I can guide these ambitious young minds. I am also available for bespoke speaking engagements, scientific writing, and technical consulting.
