Dr. Murray is a professional educator with 20 years of teaching experience in higher education. He has equity and a culturally minded focus in the course curriculum and teaching. He builds relationships with his students, with critical thinking and curiosity to learn and apply those new skills needed in the industry. My student-centered approach, using various technology tools in the classroom and online, drives me to deliver quality lesson plans, focusing on what the industry seeks today. Students share their real-world experiences and align that with problem-solving toward solutions with diverse-minded thinking in making decisions. He has experience teaching in the traditional classroom, online, hybrid, and blended modalities.I was drawn to the educational field, to work with diverse students, share experiences, and cultivate those relationships. I have a passion for business, and helping students who are struggling as learners, which inspires me to get out of bed in the morning. My platform involves assisting those who are underrepresented, first-generation, LBGTQ, and minority students to achieve academic success in preparing them for today's workforce.As a professor, I can draw connections between complex business topics and my students' lives and transform them into engagement even with reluctant learners. I am curious about the diversity and inclusion of all students learning individually and collectively.I am a great addition to teaching for a community college as an alumnus, who understands the culture, mission, vision, and core values, to ensure students value their academic experience.
