In this role I'm working directly with companies that need software delivery assistance, website builds from start to finish, and agile coaching and management. I've worked with companies that need to rebrand their web presence, and startups that need to get their companies running sustainably.

As the Senior Director of Engineering, I am responsible for managing the software development and QA teams for the WideOrbit's DIgital Ad Suite including Streaming, On Demand, and Digital Ad Exchance verticals. I make decisions regarding the direction of our software and technology choices, along with the architectural design of our application stacks.I manage three software teams and a QA team, each with their own lead/manager I and I still have a few key individual contributors that report directly to me. I invest in mentoring and growing my managers and believe in the philosophy that we should train people well enough so they can leave, but treat them well enough that they don't want to. Helping my teams understand how to reach their career goals is an important part of creating a skilled, motivated, loyal, high-performing team.I still try to get my hands dirty writing software on occasion to stay sharp, and I evaluate new technology regularly. We write full-stack SASS applications in Node JS, PHP, Javascript, React, C#, GoLang, MySQL, and BigQuery. We use tools in both AWS and GCP.I'm also responsible for a lot of product direction and decisions. Along with my UX Designer I approve and provide feedback on all UI work for our products.

I'm also responsible for a lot of product direction and decisions.

As the Engineering Manager I'm responsible for managing the software development team. I also influence the direction of our software and technology choices, along with architectural design of our applications. I'm also responsible for writing software and evaluating new technology. We write full stack SASS applications in PHP, Javascript, C#, Node JS, MySQL, and MSSQL. As the resident UI expert I'm the gatekeeper for interface updates and additions.

As an adjunct professor I teach web technologies to students. This includes front and back end programming with a heavy emphasis on object oriented programming.

As the technical director for Periscopic, I am in charge of the development team and technology research. I also scope projects, do debugging and server administration, and determine the best ways to build our projects in the era of interactive HTML5. I also develop HTML5 apps, REST APIs, design and manage MySQL databases, and contribute to strategy sessions.

Decipher is a marketing research and survey company. As the interactive technical director at Decipher Inc I determined the technologies needed for interactive projects, Flash applications, and built javascript applications. Decipher works in an agile fashion, and I contributed to writing unit tests, doing code reviews, and strategy.

As a flash developer for Summit Projects I built flash websites for their clients. I worked for clients like Nike Golf, Swiss Army, Yogi Tea, Camelbak, and several others. The last year I spent there I worked almost exclusively on the launch of Nike Golf's redesign and site rebuild.

As a district manager for Actionlink I managed more than 50 employees in 6 states. I was in charge of training my employees in both sales and consumer technologies, and did third party trainings as well.
