Growth & Innovation - Ensures the on time launch of products that meet cost targets and consumer's quality expectations.- Develop sustainable supply chain value streams to ensure consistent and reliable service to customers.- Supply Chain and Engineering liaison with Marketing and Product Development during the design and development of new products.- Develop technology strategy to manufacture products at the target cost and expected quality.Strategic Planning - Participates in technology strategy development (includes new technology scanning/implementation, and external benchmarking). - Develop Annual Plans for capital planning, cost reduction, and efficiency improvement.- Develop staffing and resource plans to meet business objectives. - Provides input to sourcing strategy including equipment transfers.Organization Development & Leadership - Manage and develop Project and Packaging engineering resources, which includes providing feedback, coaching and mentoring, conducting annual performance reviews, development planning, career discussions, talent assessment, and succession planning. - Participates in succession planning and engineering LDR. Process Improvement & Cost Reduction: - Leads division process and product improvements.- Utilize Lean Six Sigma Tools (Strategy A3, Project A3, Visual Management, Standard Work, DMAIC Problem Solving, Root Cause Analysis, MWI, MDI) to relentlessly drive process improvements and reduce costs.- Facilitates sharing of best practices between plants. - Define, prioritize and implements major material cost reduction projects Capital & Technology - Define technology strategy based on ROI Analysis of options.- Prepare Authorization for Expenditures for Capital Purchases.- Single point of contact with equipment vendors and plant operations during design and installation.
