I have been working at Warnes Equipment Services since January 2003.My duties include managing eight staff members and ensuring the smooth running of the workshop as well as on-site technicians.My duties as Workshop Manager include:Incoming jobs and assessments, repair/service, installation of compressorsJob cards, Work in progress, oversee 12 Technicians, allocation internal/external jobs;Quality control, health & safety;Technician team buildingExternal visits to clients, build relationships, introduce new clients, manage clients' jobs, provide above-average customer service.Training new technicians to service and repair compressorsRepairs, servicing, rebuilds, and new build ups onsite and in the workshopManages all administrative functions for the Service Manager without supervision. Receive and process work orders for service.Ensures that work orders are promptly written up and time cards ready upon the receipt of work authorization.Ensures all work orders have proper SMCS Information.Ensures cash sale work orders are prepared correctly and are given to the Service Manager or Shop Foreman for collection. Processes the payment, deposit it, and send it to the Credit Department with a transmittal and deposit slip.Ensures that time cards are processed each day and time is entered into the system. Ensures that a daily posting is made from the time cards to the master payroll sheet.Ensures payroll sheets for the proceeding week are totaled, authorized, and sent to the Payroll Department each Monday.Processes all purchase orders, daily.Prepares the engine, transmission, and radiator reports by the 10th of each month.Prepares gasoline and diesel fuel usage reports are prepared by the 1st of each month.Maintains petty cash.
