Earnest J.P Daniel is a Trainee Fellow of the American College of Medical Genetics (ACMG), under the subspeciality - Clinical Biochemical Genetics, at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.He earned his Master’s in Molecular Medicine from the University of Sheffield, UK, and a Doctorate in Biochemistry from Case Western Reserve University. Earnest has expertise in Congenital Disorders of Glycosylation (CDG), a rare group of Inborn Errors of Metabolism (IEM), and leads clinical test development and Biomarker discovery projects. His research collaborations in the field of glycobiology include Dr. Hudson Freeze, Dr. Eva Morava, Dr. Henrik Clausen and Dr. Lawrence Tabak. Earnest has authored multiple original research articles in Nature Comm., PNAS, ACS and JIMD. He has received several travel awards to present at the Society of Inborn Metabolic Disorders (SIMD), Society for Glycobiology (SFG), American Society of Human Genetics (ASHG) and American College of Medical Genetics (ACMG) conferences. He recently received the SIMD Founders Award -2023.
