Living up to his school's motto Perseverando, with more than 48 years’ construction insurance experience (with over 25 years at Aon, Michael is utilising his experience of placing professional risks insurance across the globe. He is now focused on furthering Aon C&I’s thought leadership position in the construction industry globally, where his renowned brokering expertise to create unique solutions on complex risks, is being put to good use providing specialist services to advise stakeholders in the construction arena (e.g., designers, contractors, owners and project financiers).Michael has written three books (fiction), with a fourth to be published in 2025. He has contributed two chapters of the Insurance Institute of London Advanced Study Group 228A (1st & 2nd Editions) on Professional Indemnity Insurance, and in 2006 was published in the Journal of Building Appraisal. Since 2010 he has given a lecture on Arranging Insurances in the International Marketplace at Reading University's School of Construction Management and Engineering. In July 2020 Michael was invited to join FIDIC’s (International Federation of Consulting Engineers) Risk, Liability, and Quality Committee, and has been invited to Chair that forum in 2025.Specialties: Broking, client advocacy, programme design and consultancy.
