Hi! I calculate watershed flows and build HEC-RAS models, and communicate the results in GIS. I have worked in 24 states so far helping small engineering and ecology firms, who may not have the expertise or who may have a steep learning curve each time or maybe they just have a staffing crunch. I use the Geo software to get a model established but prefer to work directly in the HEC-RAS tool. Flows are either already calculated in an existing model or we use one of 3 ways to get them - USGS regression, SCS methodology, or HMS software. Its also my job to know the local and federal regulations backwards and forwards, including floodWAY issues. I live and work just north of the busiest runway in the world - first metro stop out of HJAIA (Atlanta airport). Centrally located within the metro, the state, the southeast, the continent.
