Gulf Coast and offshore GOM AVO combined with an interest in Geomechanics lead me into seismic inversion. Interpretation of Reflection Seismic data is constantly evolving and the state of the commercial art is Geostatistical Inversion. No longer bound to LambdaRho - MuRho space, working in inverted space is even more fascinating and exposes a whole new way to integrate Geophysics with Geology. Commercial value, one might ask? Inversion allows one to isolate layers with the the highest brittleness in a lithosome, as well as identifying the best hydrocarbon host rock (best poro-perm rock!). Better laterals, better flow rates, better EURs.

Geophysical Interpreter-- I use seismic profile data combined with vast and often baffling geological data to find great places to drill for oil and gas. Turns out I'm actually quite good at it, which is nice because I absolutely love geoscience, and have ever since my discovery of rocks as a kid.
