This hands-on experience has provided me with insights into various aspects of the sector, including but not limited to market trends, regulatory frameworks, and operational dynamics.As a Mechatronics and Control Engineer at Key Energy, I have:- assisted with the developing program for the control system of the mechanical battery (flywheel), - designing for safety, - creating electrical drawings, - monitoring sites and datalogging, and - attending to technical issues and troubleshooting as a first point of contact for customers. On a daily basis, the job involves:- keeping track of projects and their inventory, - managing and documenting processes, and - setting up devices like PLCs and routers with appropriate programs and allocating them to projects, and - creating customised dashboards for customer sites using SQL and AWS to log and stream data.This continuous learning process has not only enriched my professional skill set but has also equipped me with the expertise necessary to navigate the complexities of the dynamic energy industry. Working to develop a new technology such as the Flywheel Energy Storage System to contribute to a sustainable power solution brings me great satisfaction and fills me with hope for a greener future.

Being an Intern at NTT for 6 months, I was able to explore opportunities and technical skills such as:- Security Penetration Testing, - Network Engineering, - Change Management, and - Automation. I was able to work with different professional teams in the company and achieve a valuable insight into projects based on these specialisations. Working with experienced and highly knowledgeable people, I was able to gain an exposure to remarkable soft skills such as collaboration and team work in fast paced project environments, presentation skills, professional communication skills and event management. I have learnt a great deal about the security industry by being part of the cyber security team - how companies require to test their system's security posture, restructure their network, apply security solutions and monitor their network, and the procedures between vendor and client companies in order to introduce solutions, sell and proceed with a project. By shadowing team members, I was able to gain specific technical skills in areas of the members' expertise.With such a great learning and working environment, NTT has provided me with a great experience and I feel motivated to dive deeper into the IT and security world.

Advising customers on Microsoft Surface products and collecting in-store data on sales and other demographics. At this job I learnt about electronic products and their technical specifications. Throughout this job, I felt more confident advising customers and built essential communication skills in a sales environment. The retail store I was placed at revealed that it had benefited their Microsoft products sales on days that I would work.
