• Responsible for conception, execution, and publication of neuroscience experiments focusing on animal behavior studying learning and memory of emotion using fear and reward with olfaction as a model.• Trained in sophisticated techniques such as electrophysiology, optogenetics, chemogenetics, single-unit recording and analyses, DREADDs, microscopy, immunohistochemistry, as well as numerous types of animal behavior paradigms including Pavlovian and operant conditioning.• Responsible for developing independent protocols for both Animal Care and Use Committee and Institutional Biosafety Committee.• Presented research both nationally and internationally at conferences and invited talks• Made multiple collaborative projects both within and outside my institution with three international collaborations.• Published three first-author, peer reviewed manuscripts and three co-authored manuscripts.• Supervised and mentored five technicians including experimental design and procedures.• Developed a funded F32 Ruth L.
