With over ten years as a secondary ELAR classroom teacher, 2 years leading and learning with adults as a campus instructional strategist for reading and social studies, and a total of 6 years working at the district level as secondary ESL or Reading Language Arts Coordinator, I LIVE literacy. I’m passionate about changing the trajectory of marginalized students, and I continue to build my knowledge in the Science of Reading. Building programs that address the literacy needs of developing readers at the secondary level is my charge, but creating a big picture view of literacy success in PreK-12 is my goal.
