Houston Audubon is a chapter of National Audubon Society in an assigned 11-county area surrounding and including Houston. Its activities extend beyond Houston and its surrounding counties when necessary to accomplish a conservation purpose. Houston Audubon promotes educational, scientific, literary, historical, and charitable purposes; provides education and instruction in natural science, creates awareness of conservation problems and explores solutions for said problems; promotes conservation of wildlife and natural resources through education, maintenance and management of sanctuaries and coordinated activity with governmental conservation agencies

Houston Area Parkinson Society (HAPS), a local non-profit organization, serves, educates and advocates for those affected by Parkinson’s disease in our community.Founded in 1974, HAPS is one of the oldest independent, local Parkinson's disease social service organizations in the United States. HAPS provides comprehensive services to eight counties in metropolitan Houston, with an estimated population of more than 6 million people.

• Built, implemented, measured and maintained the Space Shuttle Program Internal Communications Plan.• Led a diverse and highly-skilled team to develop, maintain and improve internal communications strategies for the Boeing Space Shuttle Program’s 1,200 employees.• Worked closely with Program leadership to achieve consensus on large-scale communication initiatives across a geographically dispersed workforce.• Led the development and implementation of Program-wide rewards and recognition plans, employee retention plans and employee satisfaction plans.• Developed and implemented a program-wide communications initiative to retain the Shuttle workforce during program close-out in order to support the remaining Shuttle flights to the International Space Station.
