I am a backend developer on the Communications Team. We are responsible for building and maintaining the Comms Platform that enables all Business Units to manage their own communications including SMS, Push, In-App, and Email. We provide general metrics, monitoring and data for teams to track their communications. We use Java and Kotlin for a majority of our applications with some Python and JavaScript thrown in here and there. Our development process is an adapted agile scrum methodology. The tools that I am most familiar with are InteliJ, Jira, Gitlab, and command line Git. We also use Kibana, OpsGenie, Datadog, and AWS.

Prior to being acquired by HP. I was the lead developer on a Provider Services Portal for CMS. The portal is build on a three - tier architecture. The front-end uses JSPs to build the user interface. The middle tier uses struts to control the flow of actions by the users. The backend uses MQ to store the requests, IIB to process the requests, and Oracle Database for data storage and retrieval. Skills required included Object Oriented Design, Automated Unit Testing, Database design, and using design patterns like MVC and DAO.
