Girl Scouts - Discover Together is an after-school program that creates space for girls attending Title I schools to engage in STEM and Girl Scout activities while developing academic and leadership skills. As a Program Instructor, I served 8 sites and over 160 girls in the greater Bay Area. My regular responsibilities included:• Leading groups of 10-25 girls in grades K-8 through a STEM curriculum• Clearly explaining concepts, projects, and activities in a multilingual environment (primarily Spanish/English)• Facilitating team-building introductory and closing activities at meetings• Encouraging critical thinking and collaboration while supporting girls in completing projects• Setting up lesson-specific materials and managing classroom space• Hosting Family Nights to provide parents and guardians with the opportunity to discuss their student's involvement in Girl Scouts and socialize over pizza• Coordinating program and field trip logistics with school administrators and staff• Chaperoning girls on field trips and interfacing with field trip site staff• Anonymously surveying girls regarding their experience with the program• Creating spreadsheets and inputting data to track group demographics, attendance rates, survey responses, and other relevant informationI also had the opportunity to perform outreach on behalf of Discover Together for the purpose of fundraising. In May 2018, I wrote and presented a speech on behalf of Discover Together to potential funders at the annual Girl Scouts Giving Circle event. In July 2018, I met with potential outside funders alongside fund development leadership, provided insight into the program, and answered questions.

I am extremely proud to serve as the Aragon Improv Team's coach. In this capacity, I lead a group of 8 to 13 high school students (grades 9-12) in twice-weekly practices, teaching them short-form and long-form games, exercises, and performance formats. We regularly collaborate with 3 other high school teams, and perform in 5 after-school shows per year.The COVID-19 shutdown at AHS took place March 2020 through Spring 2021. AIT pivoted to practicing virtually and performing virtual improv shows. The 2019-2020 team performed 4 virtual shows between March 2020 and May 2020 (end of the school year). The 2020-2021 team conducted virtual auditions in October 2020, bringing in 3 new players, and performed 7 virtual shows over the course of their school year. As of Fall 2021, we are back to practicing and performing in-person, and are elated to be back on the stage!

CORA provides crisis intervention and support services to survivors of intimate partner violence and their children. As a Child Development Advocate with the Children's Program, I worked with two other Children's Program staff members and our Clinical Coordinator to support and advocate for children's growth and recovery from trauma. My responsibilities included:• Providing trauma-informed care to all children and youth while their parents and guardians are attending support groups or receiving resources• Creating a positive and cooperative environment conducive to learning and play• Determining developmentally appropriate activities for children alongside other CORA staff• Co-facilitating art therapy activities from "A Window Between Worlds" curriculum• Tracking and documenting children's participation in the Children's Program and providing notes and observations related to their emotional wellbeing • Developing and acquiring informational materials related to child development and the impact of intimate partner violence on children to be made available to parents and guardians• Creating fliers advertising the Children's Program's regular hours and special events• Safety planning with children and conducting assessments regarding emotional wellbeing• Maintaining clean play areas and sanitizing toys

The WRRC is a prominent student-life center on the UC Davis campus. It serves individuals of all genders, providing study spaces, resources, referrals, and educational programming to the community. The UC Davis Orientation Program serves thousands of incoming first-year and first-year transfer students each summer. It offers them the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the campus community and academic procedures, and create their first class schedule with the assistance of trained student advisors.
