In addition to 20+ years of experience, I am highly educated, earning dual undergraduate degrees, an MA in Education Curriculum and Classroom Instruction, and a Doctor of Education (ABD) in Educational Policy, Planning, and Leadership.★ ★ ★Launching my career as a teacher, I worked in diverse high school settings, providing instruction in English, Theater, and Communication. Seeking increased connectivity to the success of at-risk students, I was ‘called’ to join the Ohio Department of Youth Services, where I spent 15+ years in administrative and Central Office leadership positions. Working with some of the most at-risk youth in the state, I committed years to driving change, leading learning and development initiatives, championing professional development for my educators, informing curriculum development, and steering technology adoption.★ ★ ★Throughout my tenure, I contributed to numerous committees, focused on identifying best practices, improving efficiencies and effectiveness, steering professional development and conference planning, and positioning educators with the tools and resources vital to driving learning objectives and student success.
