I've profiled football stars like Penei Sewell and Zach Wilson; written about the economic squeeze faced by small-time American ranchers — even when they happen to also be rodeo champions; and penned personal essays about outdoor survival and my Cuban heritage, among far too many other things to list. I have no beat, and my subjects vary from U.S. Senator Kyrsten Sinema to a 3-pound cheeseburger challenge in Middlegate, Nevada. I enjoy that range immensely.
