By focusing on life-serving systems interventions at strategic leverage points, I aim to unleash the creative potential of our society to disrupt and transcend our destructive patterns of extraction and exploitation.Before joining BE+, I led statewide efforts fighting for healthy, just, and sustainable communities across Massachusetts, and created a national political reform organization attempting to open up the political system to more voices and better choices. As Deputy Director, I am working to grow the capacity of BE+ and its vibrant community of practitioners and advocates to advance the positive transformation of the built environment.My specialties include strategic communications, persuasive writing, and digital content creation.In 2005, I left the field of astronomy to focus on what was happening down here on Earth. Sixteen years later, the interrelated crises we face have only grown worse. It is more important than ever for all of us to join together as problem-solvers, innovators, and co-designers of a new destiny.In two decades of community organizing, advocacy, and communications work, I have • organized the first-ever cross-partisan presidential primary debate, which featured 18 candidates representing 10 different political affiliations. • created a Father’s Day Stormtroopers Trilogy that has surpassed 10 million views on Youtube. • brought a wide variety of trailblazers together to share their inspiring visions for a new way forward for our communities, our species, and our planet.Also an aspiring gardener, sprouter, and fermenter.
