Receive and assess all hardware support calls logged on the in-house call logging system according to standards. Allocate correct priorities and ensure resolution is within agreed SLA’s per customer.Responsible for a team of 10 technicians in Johannesburg reporting directly into me, as well as a technician in Nelspruit en Bloemfontein. Supervising and assignment of field resources dependent on task. Scheduling of preventative maintenance schedules for all corporate customers nationwide. Provide support to field technicians and assist with troubleshooting and problem Diagnosis. Liaise with customers, account managers and technicians on the tasks allocated and the resolution of the fault. Provide management and customers reports on the status of all calls and requests. Communicate with vendors with regards to components, parts, and peripheral devices used in conjunction with Micros parts; establish and maintain a good working relationship. Controlling of stock items and reconciliation thereof. Technical training on all devices and customer management to field technicians. Plan, and coordinate daily & monthly schedules for all resources & sites.

Installation of hardware on site according to project plan. Installation includes network, power and hardware for specific equipment. Responsible for on-site sales of hardware and upselling the product.Complete site survey, cable diagrams, power and network diagrams. Attend to existing installations where clients have logged calls and troubleshoot network, power and hardware for problem diagnosis and resolution. Perform upgrades to equipment and related software. Management and reconciliation of spares & equipment necessary to fix client hardware. Ensure that a complete inventory of supplies and parts are maintained and that all usages are ordered in a timely manner. Management of docket invoicing and any cash paid, based on invoice. Implement and test new equipment prior to customer release within internal test environment. Comply with all standards, procedures, controls, and policies in customer and internal engagements. Deal with logged calls through to resolution, providing accurate feedback to customers and management throughout. Complete administrative tasks associated with calls, including updating of records. Test and troubleshoot new versions prior to release.
