Prime is a full-time immersion course for full-stack engineering, which also includes professional development, diversity inclusion training, and collaborative client projects. My solo project titled Snippets is full-stack app I built to help myself keep track of and organize unfinished songwriting projects. It utilizes Express, Node JS, React, Redux, Sagas, and Postgres SQL. Building the app required me to learn how to use React's S3 Dropzone Uploader, Modular Audio Player, and most importantly, Amazon Web Services, which is used to store the audio files that are one of the foundational pieces of the app. Snippets is something I will use on a daily basis to make my songwriting - one of my favorite personal pastimes - a less complicated and more streamlined process!

I always said the Bachelor Farmer was going to be my last bar job.This was the best service industry job in the world, and I loved it. The Bachelor Farmer was an award-winning, groundbreaking restaurant that set the standard for food, wine and service in Minneapolis. I loved the role I got to play in creating memorable moments for our guests every night. I had advanced knowledge of our products, sure. And I was as skilled a practitioner of the dark art of collaborative, intuitive, fast paced service as anyone. I was never an entertainer as a bartender, but ultimately, the job was about caring and listening. I believe I am fluent in these abilities and I was able to form meaningful, long-lasting connections with our guests as a result.When the restaurant closed amidst the pandemic, it was time for me to look to do something new.
