With over 10 years of software engineering experience, I am passionate about designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and reliable cloud-based solutions that support business needs and goals. I am currently a software engineer at Northwestern Mutual, where I work on the Field Rewards Modernization project, replacing the existing monolith compensation system with cloud-native microservices. As part of my role, I develop container-based Python data pipelines and ETLs, create cloud native Java Spring applications, maintain pub/sub messaging services, and provision cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Ansible, AWS, Terraform, and Flyway. I also manage CICD pipelines for each team-owned application, own team on-premises unix servers, and facilitate the SDLC for team-owned applications. Additionally, I supervise contracted consulting and software engineering staff, ensuring quality and timely delivery of project outcomes. I am always eager to learn new technologies and best practices, and I have obtained several certifications in software architecture, enterprise architecture, and scrum.
