My name is Elana Bernholtz, I recently graduated from the University of Iowa with a MS in Genetics. I worked in 3 different labs during my time in graduate school, as well as 2 labs in undergrad. My experience in each lab has left me well rounded and adaptable to the life of a researcher. I absolutely love being in a lab environment and learning new skills, that being said, I also enjoy field work.I am a hard working and modest individual who aims for efficiency, quality, and consistency. I look forward to getting more experience within the research industry and hope to grow my career with a wonderful company.

CSU Wheat genomics lab: I was given a project focused on using gene editing tools like CRISP-CAS to develop constructs aimed at improving the wheat genome, making it more tolerant to drought.
