An accomplished trial lawyer, David Ebert has extensive experience litigating, trying—and resolving—complex commercial matters in state and federal courts, as well as before mediation and arbitration tribunals in New York and around the country.David has served as lead counsel in a broad spectrum of commercial matters, including intellectual property, licensing, telecommunications, trade secrets, advertising, manufacturing, confectionaries, business fraud, professional liability defense for lawyers and accountants, misappropriation of ideas, unfair competition, employment litigation, restrictive covenants and real estate. David is regularly engaged to navigate partnership, shareholder and limited liability company disputes, judicial accountings, departures and dissolutions for attorneys, among other professional services providers and commercial partners.In the role of outside general counsel, David routinely advises clients on best practices and long-term strategies to anticipate and avoid conflict. His deep experience in complex commercial litigation informs his practical and straightforward approach. He helps clients identify issues that “matter”—and those that don’t. Leveraging this knowledge, clients regularly call upon David to negotiate and draft a wide range of agreements early in the contracting process.
