Led team across four countries that oversaw product development and management of all non-ETF structures globally, covering $1.1 trillion in pooled vehicles in 9 domiciles plus $1.3 trillion in separately managed accounts across all investment strategies. My team delivered 200+ new products while improving efficiency through product rationalization. Products included active and index ESG products, new alternatives funds, an innovative retirement income product for US DC plans, and new tax transparent European fund vehicles. While leading institutional product I spearheaded the development of a new gold source of product reference data, created a new pricing strategy for institutional index products, and supported advancement of underrepresented talent at State Street.

Led a global team in Boston, London, Hong Kong and Bangalore focused on product strategy and lifecycle management across all global channels, markets, and vehicles. We launched new products including innovative new ETFs, active funds, and alternative investment funds in a range of structures such as ETFs, mutual funds, UCITS, private funds, CITs, MPFs, and AIFs. I worked as part of the leadership team centralizing the Global Product and Marketing teams in a cost-effective structure. I added a new research and competitive analysis function and built channel product teams within regional teams. Additionally, I contributed to the organization as a senior role model for Global Pride employee network.

Created global ETF product strategy for SSGA, growing the SPDR product offering to deliver significant net revenue contributions across every region. In Europe, I built a team that turned around the business to become a relevant European ETF provider with a robust product offering. In the US, we launched innovative SPDR ETFs including SSGA’s first actively managed products. We expanded the Australian ETF offering to include the first fixed income and global equity products in local domiciles, and reorganized Hong Kong fund infrastructure to reduce risks and support future growth. In addition to interacting regularly with clients, I had externally facing responsibilities: meeting with global regulators as an expert on ETFs, on EFAMA and ICI working groups, serving on the European editorial board for the Journal of Indexes, and increasing SPDR ETFs media presence through speaking engagements and interviews.

Joining NYSE Euronext following the acquisition of the American Stock Exchange, I grew the business significantly, built a diverse international team to increase cooperation and efficiency following several mergers, and spearheaded major technology enhancement initiatives. While head of European Exchange Traded Products, I managed a $50M P&L for the listing and trading of ETFs, warrants and certificates, investment funds, and other exchange traded products on the Euronext markets in Amsterdam, Brussels, Lisbon and Paris. My role expanded from overseeing the European ETF products to leading the global business for exchange traded products, managing a team across NYSE Euronext offices in the US and Europe.

During my tenure with the American Stock Exchange (Amex), I had increasingly responsible positions culminating in a senior leadership role as the Head of the ETF Marketplace which I held through the successful acquisition and integration of the Amex by the New York Stock Exchange. As Head of ETF Marketplace, my team grew listings to a record year by leveraging strong client relationships and I spearheaded the push for generic listing standards for ETFs to include international equity and fixed income securities that facilitated the listing of a large number of future products in the industry. During my ten years at the American Stock Exchange I also held leadership roles in new product development and index services, and pioneered advancements in the ETF industry since 1998. I was fortunate to be able to enjoy being part of many industry firsts while working with tremendous clients, colleagues and mentors to change investing with an even broader impact than many of us appreciated at the time.
