I am a recently certified data scientist courtesy of ENTITY Academy x Woz U’s online course. I originally went into the program wanting to change my career field and data science called to me because as a lifelong learner, I love facts, statistics, and tackling challenges using data.In the past, I have worked with diverse populations across the education, healthcare, and social sciences fields. I have experience working with children who are autistic, visually and hearing impaired, attend low-performing schools, and suffer from mental health issues. The adults and seniors I have taken care of have had intellectual and developmental delays, suffered from mental health or drug addiction issues, Alzheimer’s/Dementia, and/or live in assisted living/nursing homes. I received my Bachelor’s degree in General Studies at Indiana University Southeast and always anticipated that I would further advance my education later. Knowing I wanted to continue helping people, but interested in a discipline change, I found ENTITY Academy's data science program and knew it was the right place for me. As a graduate, I am now looking for a career in the tech world where I can use my new skills to help people and organizations solve problems. Since my experiences are in education, healthcare, and social sciences, I have domain knowledge in these areas, however, I am excited to continue learning and expand my knowledge into other fields. as I grow professionally.
