My educational background includes being an alumnus of Humber’s fashion arts and business program. My studies at Humber gives me many advantages in the fashion industry. I have experience with sales techniques and marketing, store planning, merchandising, and product knowledge.In addition to my college studies, I am also very familiar with the retail environment due to my current position as a Visual Merchandiser at Roots. I have developed many retail skills, such as experience with friendly customer service, business management, and visual merchandising. I make certain that customers feel confident in their purchases and ensure a positive shopping experience. I am also confident in addressing and resolving customer issues. In my role, I have experience in retail management and knowledge in being responsible for game planning for the day, guiding and coaching a sales team, and knowledge in the financial aspect of retail (KPIs, sales analysis, product and traffic flow). I also have experience and a big interest in visual merchandising due to my role in extensive store rotations, in-store marketing, and a general interest in interior design. I complete all store visual moves according to company guidelines but also apply my ideas and creativity.With my combination of retail and business experience I believe that I can make an excellent contribution to the fashion industry and feel proud to be a part of it.
