The NYC Mayor's Office of Housing Recovery Operations manages the Build it Back program,which is dedicated to helping New Yorkers living in communities affected by Hurricane Sandy to repair, elevate and rebuild their properties into their safe and storm-resilient homes. Federally funded under the HUD Community Develop Block Grant - Disaster Recovery ($4.7 Billion) Brief sysnopsis of responsibilities: Manage and oversee division operations: including program issue resolution; formal appeals investigation and resolution; production and special project reporting; outreach project development and implementationn; special IT projects, including the development of client-facing portal; comprehensive, program-wide training for HRO staff, vendors and external partners on new processes, initiatives, and programs; citizen correspondence and complaints (from HUD, elected officials, Mayor's Correspondence office, etc.) investigation and response process Manage 22 staff, including 6 program analysts, call center supervisor and 15 call representatives on above duties Key advisor to Program Director and Deputy Director of Homeowner Services in policy implementation, strategic planning, communications, vendor integration and operations, including the highly intensive integration of 3 new construction management firms starting in April 2015 Closely collaborate with division leads in case management, policy, legal, external affairs, communications and construction divisions to implement programmatic operations and improvements and develop strategic communications, operations and outreach effortsPromotion history:*May 2013:Communications Coordinator*October 2013: Program Analyst*Feb 2014: Program Manager*Oct 2014: Sr. Program Manager*July 2015: Assistant Director*Sept 2016: Associate Director
