I am an advisor by trade, resource and research guru by nature, and connector by passion. I coach and connect people and organizations with tools, ideas, and resources to help them succeed and guide them on strategy around procedures, programming, and finances. In every professional and volunteer organization I've been a part of during my career, I had the privilege of being sought out for advice, guidance, and strategy. I have assisted clients in several industries and at different stages of their business. I also helped manage a department, teams, and projects; coached business owners, Executive Directors, and emerging leaders; and connected them with funding and career-changing opportunities. Along with those experiences, I transferred the research and writing skills that I perfected to grant writing and copywriting. Kind of a leap, I know. But I loved that part of my career and now use those skills to help nonprofit organizations and businesses amplify their mission and reach their audience. I am passionate about using my skillset to help organizations versed in their issue area(s) go farther faster. I’m an advocate for personal and professional development, which led to my selection and participation in Leadership Miami, the AICPA Leadership Academy, and FICPA Emerging Leaders. I have held national roles for over ten years, including a three-year appointment to the Department of Treasury’s Taxpayer Advocacy Panel, where I was the Chair my last year. I also held appointed positions on the AICPA’s National Commission on Diversity and Inclusion, Nominations Committee, and Awards Committee, helping shape the future of the accounting profession. My professional, volunteer, and continuing learning allows me to provide consistent excellent client service by adapting, working independently, thinking strategically, communicating effectively, and problem-solving.Aside from work and volunteering, I enjoy traveling, live performances, Marvel movies, and binge-watching UK crime dramas. I’m an adrenaline lover who has skydived, ziplined and rappelled down the side of a hotel in Downtown Miami dressed as Wonder Woman. Through everything, life has taught me many things, including to not only be alive but to also live life.

National Tap Chair - 2012, Taxpayer Advocacy PanelInternal Revenue Service Dec 2009 - Nov 2012Washington, District Of Columbia, UsAccomplishments under my leadership as National Chair:The 2012 Taxpayer Advocacy Panel (TAP) year saw the implementation of numerous significant changes from the TAP reorganization including the screening process, a reduction in the number of committees and the partnership with Systemic Advocacy. This year afforded us the opportunity to modify and streamline these newly implemented processes, and re-evaluate old ones, to better fulfill the TAP mission and serve the taxpaying public.Outreach also became more of a priority in 2012 and new outreach efforts around social and print media were tested. This focus shift allowed us to extend our reach and gather additional input from the public. With the issues and comments gathered from old and new channels, we were able to create the 2013 Project Committees that will better address more systemic issues. The inclusion of the new processes contributed to another successful year with the completion of 34 projects and 130 recommendations elevated to the Internal Revenue Service. The quality, time, and effort expended by TAP members and staff to complete all of the tasks that we set out to accomplish at the beginning of the year speaks to this organization’s commitment to American taxpayers. -
