I have been managing the Instagram account for Black Cat Bar and Bottleshop since November 2023 and was subsequently tasked with starting up the Black Cat Rose Lane account in March 2024, in line with the venue launch. Following the success of this account, the bar had a record opening weekend for the business and reached 1k followers in less than a week of opening without sponsorship (due to the limited budget of the independent business). Throughout this role, I have gained a deeper insight into the analytical aspects of social media marketing as well as a passion for product photography. As I have conducted this role alongside working full-time behind the bar, I am incredibly efficient, self-motivated and eager to take my skill-set into a full-time career in social media marketing.

I have worked this role throughout my degree and into post-graduate life. Learning how to balance full-time work alongside my studies has proven my strong work ethic and organisational skills. This role has also introduced me to the world of craft beer, providing me with strong product knowledge, a love for all-things craft and a passion for supporting Liverpool independents. I have also successfully planned charity events and managed a team of 8-10 people throughout our busiest periods.

I took part in Mindless Academy' s Digital Micro-Internship programme during the month of April (2021). During this time, I learned how to master the art of storytelling and the science of SEO, creating four pieces of editorial content for Mindless Mag on Fashion + Stuff That Matters.
