Hola! I'm Ebony Ellen Escalona and I'm on a quest to help you craft communities that count helping to build online communities for charities and organisations. A self-motivated content and community creator with a positive and innovative approach. Deep care about the natural world, especially the welfare of animals. A diversified veterinary surgeon with a PhD and over 15 years in science and medical field. Able to adapt communication styles from peer-reviewed publications to social media content. Supported the delivery of successful communication campaigns and community projects with charities such as WWF, StreetVet, Show Up and Brooke. Privileged and proud to be a voice of the voiceless from those inhabiting the seas to those experiencing homelessness. A well versed host and educator for small workshops or crowds of 5000. Veterinary professionals are my current muse (I also work as one). I love shining spotlights on people's stories alongside the science to support healthy careers for the ones that care. There are too many wounded healers who burn out before they have a chance to shine. The vet profession is full of untapped high-performing STEM change makers. The world needs them :). I am also obsessed with horses, great white sharks and whippets, not necessarily in that order.I guess like my name I like to work in triple Es! I'm an equine vet, an entrepreneur and an educator. Currently hold advisory roles with the Veterinary Defence Society and Shift Collective. Founder of the online support platform Vets: Stay, Go or Diversify and VSGD Careers bringing peer to peer inspiration for career pathways within and beyond the profession alongside over 30,000 global professionals. Also co-founder of VetYou – helping to support professionals to take control of their financial future.     Joined VDS training at it's inception to help digitally market their offering to the veterinary community and help them listen to their audience to curate products and programmes to better serve the profession. Developed and co-hosted digital community offerings such as a monthly webinar series as well as the recent Sunday and Student Surgeries (in collaboration with The Association of Veterinary Students) during lock down. These have provided a unique opportunity for a community safe space to share experiences and receive access to non-clinical support through VDS coaches. These online spaces support between 100 and 1000 delegates per session. Helped to grow the training community from 0 to over 7500 registered members in under 3 years and increased social media following by over 25% between 2019 and 2020. Co-developed a novel online group career coaching programme to support vets and nurses to gain a better understanding of what makes them tick, what their strengths are and how they can channel them into their current roles or new opportunities. We are now on our third cohort each with 25 coachees that are supported over a 4.5 month programme. Contributing writer for blogs and articles in partnership with the Vet Record.
