I am a first-generation Latina in higher education, and a recent USC alumna! I received my Master of Education degree in Postsecondary Administration and Student Affairs in May 2024. I am coming from USC Athletics where I worked with and supported student-athletes through the Athlete Career Transition program. My role has been to ensure that students have the resources, knowledge, and opportunities to succeed post-graduation. I’m passionate about guiding and empowering students as they take those exciting first steps in their careers. With a background in student services and support, I understand both the challenges and opportunities young professionals face. I love connecting with students, hearing about their goals, and helping them discover the resources that can make those dreams a reality. My goal is to connect students with the resources they need to thrive in their journeys and to foster a supportive, resource-rich environment that promotes lifelong learning and career skills. My core competencies include project coordination, supervisory management, and interpersonal communication.Previously, I worked as a College and Career Resource Specialist at Think Together, where I led six high school site coordinators and their teams in delivering college and career readiness and personal development activities and workshops for students. Before that, I served as a Project Learn Coordinator at Boys & Girls Club of the West Valley, where I oversaw the educational, college and career readiness programs for partner schools, and facilitated the transition of the Future Ready program to a virtual platform. Through these experiences, I have gained valuable insights into the needs and challenges of diverse student populations, and how to design and deliver effective and engaging programs and services that empower them to thrive in and beyond college.
