Provide direction and support to the College and Career Pathways program overseeing the development and implementation of curricula, program policies and tools to facilitate quality and ease of operation across ten branches.

Managed staff and the day-to-day oversight of a holistic college prep program for high school students from 4 different library sites. While coaching staff in operating sites, scholars and tutors, also provided supervision that supported their professional growth, knowledge and work ethic. Led the development of rigorous Common Core-aligned college themed units and created and provided professional development workshops on key education topics to support the growth of staff.

Oversaw curriculum development and design for a college prep program. Created and facilitated staff development workshops for Fellows and Tutors to improve their pedagogical and classroom management skills. Supervised and coached Fellows through development of unit planning and design.

Designed and managed an Out-of-School Time afterschool enrichment program based in an NYPL branch for K-8 students. Supervised a staff of 8 + an intern, created and facilitated professional development workshops, recruited staff and students; provided support to staff, students and families.

Co-taught 4th grade with a focus on ELA and Writing and use of Responsive Classroom. After transitioning to SETSS role due to school need, worked in collaboration with classroom teachers to support instruction and assessment for at-risk and IEP students through a push-in/pull-out model. Assisted with progress reports drafted IEP reports and goals for IEP and student support meetings.

Provided pull-out services to 2nd and 3rd grade at-risk and IEP students with a focus on reading development. Using Orton-Gillingham and elements of Wilson reading program developed students' literacy skills and strategies. Administered reading assessments and informal methods of tracking student progress over time. Informally served as a peer mentor to Learning Specialist team, facilitated staff training on Rigby Reading Assessment.

Led a self-contained, 3rd grade Special Education classroom with supervision of 1 para. Prepared lesson plans with a focus on student engagement through differentiation. Administered assessments to gauge progress, inform instructional direction and update/draft IEPs and goals.

Investigated criminal cases for a public defender office where I prioritized a heavy caseload to locate and interview Defense and State witnesses. Reported on case progress orally and through a specialized database to assist with trial prep. Conducted prospective client intake interviews to determine case eligibility and participated in community outreach to garner clients and educate the public about NDS and its services.
