Coaching for Healing, Justice, and Liberation offers trainings that use coaching methodologiesand an anti-oppression analysis to support movement leaders and healers to identify, visibilize,and disrupt how systemic oppression shows up in our lives. Coaching for Healing, Justice, andLiberation utilizes these skills along with ancestral wisdom and present-day adaptations tobegin to undo systemic oppression and heal towards individual and collective liberation.Coaching for Healing and Non-Violence is rooted in the same principles and primarily doeswork inside the California State Prison system with people who are incarcerated.

Ebony Booth is an artist, an activist, educator, leader, cultural strategist, and poet. She is the founding director of Burque Noir, a multi-media showcase for Black performing and visual artists in Albuquerque. Ebony leads the Honeysuckle Creatives consultancy specializing in creative engagement strategies, project management, and event design that centers people of color. In 2018, Ebony published her first volume of poetry, Grinning and Bare and won the Creative Bravos award for leadership and innovation in the arts. In 2019, Ebony was selected as a WK Kellogg Foundation Community Leadership Fellow, to connect, grow and lead transformational change on behalf of children, families and communities. In 2020, Ebony accentuated her professional skill set with her acceptance into the International Coaches Federation accredited Coaching for Equity & Transformation program. Ebony uses coaching modalities to support leaders, professionals and youth.

Burque Noir produces a brilliant multi-media experience of arts and entertainment as delivered by a vast array of Black artists and performers in Albuquerque, NM on one night. Ours is a gathering of intersectional community members who come to engage hearts, minds and senses in celebration and revelry for Black people.Offering creative consulting services related to event design, planning and promotion.

In our quest toward challenging education, Bosque’s Director of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) moves beyond episodic assemblies and reactive trainings to provide students a curriculum that equips them with skills to gain a better understanding of themselves, to collaborate with others, and to thrive in today’s interconnected world. Students are exposed to developmentally appropriate touchpoints and curriculum from grades 6-12 that includes mini morning meeting lessons, ME/WE conferences, service learning groups, affinity groups, opportunities to travel to national conferences, and semester-long DEI workshop series, all designed to connect Bosque School’s Academic Mission, Core Values, and the Board of Trustees’ Diversity Statement with the lived experiences and developmental stages of our students. Ebony develops curriculum which allows students to investigate DEI through the lens of power and privilege as social constructs with an emphasis on the intersectionality of race, ethnicity, nationality, class, gender, sexual orientation, religion, and ability. Ebony facilitates workshops help students, faculty and the parent community to develop a critical and reflective understanding of self while affirming and challenging the ways in which they find themselves situated in relationship to the community on campus, in the Albuquerque community, and as global citizens.

At Harwood, Ebony coordinates event and film rentals, manages social media channels, and co-organizes arts education, professional development and community engagement programs. Additionally, Ebony is an integral part of the Galleries & Exhibitions arm of Harwood’s mission. She sources community partners, maintains healthy artist engagement, manages opening receptions and develops new marketing strategies.
