Duties: Oversee operations, encompassing financial management, legal compliance, and HR activities, for a team of 10, at a small business healthcare organization.Cultivate relationships in business and mental health communities through networking events, cold calling, and provider referrals. Secure and implement contracts to facilitate the delivery of mental health services through collaborative efforts with community organizations and local schools. Monitor clinicians to ensure compliance with CMS standards. Conduct regular audits and quality assurance checks to ensure coding accuracy, compliance with insurance policies, and adherence to reimbursement guidelines.Major Accomplishments: Identified an untapped market opportunity and founded a mental health startup focused on improving accessibility and quality of mental health services for working class District residents ages 5 to 75. Raised $20,000 in funding through successful pitch presentations, strategic partnerships, and grant funding. Conducted in-depth research on electronic medical record (EMR) systems and spearheaded the successful transition to a new platform, resulting in enhanced user experience and increased provider efficiency. Effectively supervised the 6 to 12 month credentialing process for both public health insurance programs (Medicaid, Medicaid MCO) and private health insurance providers (Carefirst BlueCross BlueShield, Tri-Care, Aetna, and Magellan). Provided supervision to and mentored a team of four graduate-level clinicians, preparing them for advanced clinical-level licensure.
