Managed daily operations for an AmeriCorps green workforce development program for youth ex-offenders, ages 18-25, with the Mayors Office of Civic Engagement and Volunteer Services, Education Works and Philadelphia Youth Network. I supported 6 crews with close to 60 members over 6 months of intensive training with green stormwater infrastructure projects in conjunction with the Philadelphia Work Department and watershed maintenance with the Philadelphia Department of Park and Recreation.

I connected at-risk students who attended El Centro High School and Eastern University Academy with internships, mentorship, and entrepreneurship opportunities. In our annual report to the Philadelphia School District, our student internship placement rate with local businesses or non-profit organizations went from 9% to 50% of our charter school students within the initial six months of school operations under my leadership. The connections and mentoring with teens provided value-add to managers & other executives as well as impacted the lives of over 500 high school students through a real world learning experience and immersion.

I developed and managed an entrepreneurship program for young males of color, ages 18-25, from under-resourced communities. This program served as an economic development model in urban communities like Philadelphia, and produced more than 309 success stories of mentoring young men from the block to the boardroom. I also provided mirco-lending and business consulting for more than 1,000 aspiring, emerging and established business owners of color throughout Greater Philadelphia, and lead state-wide business plan competitions sponsored by the state of Pennsylvania and private-sector foundations. I also was Financial Manager, Client Services Manager, and Director of Operations during my tenure at this phenomenal organization!
