Ernesto Isaac Borrego is a founder and the CEO of HAND where he leads a team focused on accelerating the production of ultra-high performance aerospace materials via novel synthetic resins. Dr. Borrego is disciplined in organic synthesis, polymer chemistry, and materials science. He is successful in proposal preparation and management of externally funded programs with teams. He has a strong backgroud knowledge of C/C composite and carbon fiber chemistry and is familiar with the intricate materials problems associated with surviving hypersonic flight. Dr. Borrego holds a B.Sc in Chemistry/English/Biology at the University of Texas, Rio-Grande Valley (2017) and received his Ph.D. in Polymer & Materials Chemistry at Mississippi State University (2023).
