Cloud Industry Forum is a non-profit trade industry group. The G-Cloud Public Sector Interest Group (SIG) promotes the take-up of Cloud-based services across the UK public sector, and seeks ways to deliver better outcomes for cloud service providers and customers, by encouraging the exchange of ideas and information on common problems and user need.

Responsible for the design of the future FSA service capabilities, including defining the future vision, organisation culture, and new ways of working. Defined a new organisation structure, taking into account the impact on current ways of working and the expected new skills profiles.Achieved: Developed FSA’s Transformation Vision, Service Management Target Operating Model and supporting principles; an Organisation Design including roles and skill profiles; a Project Business Case, detailed Cost Model, and procurement and delivery plans.

Served as member of the board of EuroCloud UK, which worked to bring together the cloud industry across the UK to share experience, promote best practice and raise awareness of the benefits of cloud to business and the wider economy. EuroCloud UK is now merged with Cloud Industry Forum (CIF) where I now chair a Public Sector Special Interest Group (SIG)

Responsible for leading the redesign and transformation of the Technical Service Support (TSS) function within the Home Office, to support a hybrid model of legacy and cloud-based digital services, in a diverse multi-supplier environment.Achieved: Interim Head of Service Support; led the transformation and cultural change activities across multiple internal stakeholder groups and directorates; set-up and supported an internal HO leadership team to embed cultural change and ensure continued staff engagement; developed the TSS BAU function, including the organisation design, role descriptions, management of HR (including TUPE), recruitment and training; delivered a pilot to provide technical support and operations management for new and digital HO services; delivery of Strategic Outline Business Case, setting out the investment options and objectives; procurement of foundation TSS capabilities

Member of the game-changing G-Cloud Programme, responsible for driving adoption of Cloud Computing services across the public sector. During the past two years, I helped hundreds of public sector buyers to start using G-Cloud, expanding sales from below £1m to over £200m in two years. The engagement with buyers covered: working with CTO/CIO level to help organisations with the transition journey to the Cloud, helping them identify and overcome barriers, raise levels of awareness, provision of training events, and participation in procurements as an independent advisor. I was a regular public speaker at industry and stakeholder events, raising the awareness of G-Cloud, as well as providing blogs and writing articles, advice and guidance to support hundreds of suppliers, to encourage them to join G-Cloud and to help them exploit the potential for their business.

Operations Manager: created and managed an operations team for Citibank UK's European corporate loan portfolio of $15 billion. This included re-engineering processes and completion of team set-up within six-weeks.

Delivered the bank's Continuity of Business Plan; management of the branch Euro conversion and Y2K compliance; branch coordinator for the Europe-wide centralisation of back-office processing.
